EB-2: Professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability

General Requirements:
- For most EB categories, sponsoring employer must file and get permanent labor certificate from the U.S Labor department.
- Labor certification is not required if petition needs to file under EB-1 (Extraordinary ability), EB-2(National Interest Waiver), EB-4( Special Immigrants),and EB-5 (Investment Immigrants)
- Upon approval of labor certification, sponsoring employer needs to file immigrant petition with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
- Once USCIS approved immigrant petition, if beneficiary already in the United States, he may apply for adjustment of status in the U.S. otherwise he has to go through consular processing.
